At Bond-Tite Tank Service, we offer a warranty program for our oil tank replacement and installation services. If you’re covered by our program and your fuel tank leaks, we’ll provide you with a $2,000 rebate. Read on to learn how to qualify for and avail of our warranty program.

TANK-GUARD® Annual Limited Warranty

When your eligible aboveground steel heating oil tank (maximum capacity of 330 gallons) is treated with TANK-GUARD®, the manufacturer, Lincoln Laboratory (PO Box 381, Leicester, MA 01524), provides a limited warranty for one year from the receipt of your payment. If during this period your aboveground tank leaks from internal corrosion that TANK-GUARD® fails to prevent, you will be eligible to receive a warranty credit of up to $2,000, subject to the terms below. Leak verification is required.

1. Bond-Tite Tank Service (a division of Lincoln Laboratory) must handle the installation of the new tank and the removal of the old one. Lincoln Laboratory will contribute up to $2,000 towards these services. Any costs exceeding $2,000 will be your responsibility.
2. If you or your oil dealer opt for another method to replace your tank, you can receive a $1,000 reimbursement from Lincoln Laboratory. Verification of the leak by an authorized TANK-GUARD® representative, along with proof of tank replacement and proper disposal of the old tank ((copy of invoice and copy of signed installation permit), is required. Any additional costs are your responsibility.

Warranty Exclusions

The above constitutes your exclusive remedy. Leaking tanks, tanks that have been repaired, and underground tanks are not eligible and are excluded. Pipe or fitting leaks are also not covered. Emergency response service costs are excluded. LINCOLN LABORATORY IS NOT LIABLE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANUPS OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. TO THE EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, LINCOLN LABORATORY DISCLAIMS ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY OTHER IMPLIED WARRANTY. Any warranty breach claims must be filed within 90 days of the one-year warranty period. Some states do not allow certain limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages or the exclusion of the warranty of merchantability, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

Oil leaks can present serious safety and environmental risks. We recommend checking your oil tank regularly and contacting your oil dealer immediately if you notice any signs of a leak.

Our Recommendation

Most homeowner’s insurance does not cover oil tank replacement. The cost of replacing an oil tank can exceed $2,000. To protect you from this unpredictable expense, we recommend the TANK-GUARD® Oil Tank Protection Program.

TANK-GUARD® Protection Program

If your tank qualifies, the proactive TANK-GUARD® Program helps protect it against internal corrosion and provides the financial security of a tank warranty. Once you sign up for the program, we will treat your tank with an effective liquid corrosion inhibitor to reduce the risk of failure. If your tank leaks due to internal corrosion while under warranty, you could receive a warranty credit of up to $2,000 toward a replacement tank.*
